At this time, Samsara Comics is accepting submissions for webcomics. Here's all you need to know:
What you get:
Free hosting, including space for your comic and a personal, creator section where you can let readers know about yourself. We will provide support with setting up and customizing both of these sites (we use comicspace as a navigator), though you are free to go beyond and modify your sub-sites however you wish. Also, shares of the revenue generated by Samsara (we will explain how this works, and how much money you can expect, through email. For now, we'll just say; don't quit your day job.) You will also get instant fame, and legions of adoring fans, a majority of whom are attractive and single (legal note: this last claim is not true). Also, you retain FULL RIGHTS to your comic. As independent creators ourselves, this is a point of honor, and very important. You can publish your comic elsewhere as well as here, license it however you wish, and withdraw from Samsara at any time with absolutely no obligations. Its your baby.
What we want:
Cool comics, basically. Beyond that, a good fit for the site, a competently drawn story, and something that is reliably ongoing. Samsara is diverse by design, but we are looking for narrative comics, as opposed to gag strips. We also favor independent voices and unique concepts. We have limited space, so we will be somewhat picky about who we bring onboard, but if you have a comic that needs a home, this might be the place for you.
How to Submit:
Ideally, we would like to see comics that are already up and running. The only way to know if you can/will reliably update is to see that you've been doing it for a while. So if you have a comic hosted by drunkduck or comicspace, you can email the link to us: easy as pie. Just use the Samsara Comics contact form (look up at the tabs), and put "submission" in the subject box. You could tell us a little about yourself and your comic, but don't forget to include the link.
If you are starting a new webcomic, that's okay too. You could be the next Jeff (or Barry Windsor) Smith, and we want credit for discovering you. We'll need to see 6-8 finished pages (what they will look like on our site), plus a written synopsis/high concept/this just means tell us about the story. For the images, you will need to host them somewhere and send us links. If you have a deviant account, thats an easy solution. If not, you can use ImageShack or just google "image hosting". However you choose to do it, you should be sending us:
1. Links to 6-8 pages
2. A description of your comic, and its general direction beyond the sample pages
3. A little about yourself (what is your favorite color?)
Again, the contact form is the way to get it to us. Also, if you have questions about submissions, you can send them the same way.
All right then, lets get rollin'. Send 'em in, folks!
